July 10, 2007 - Bill of San Francisco writes: Exactly how much is IDC paid to publish these "reports?" If Microsoft spent near as much time on their technology as they do all the marketing bs, Vista wouldn't be such a dog. Not one business that I know of, not one of the dozens of computer technicians I've spoken with about Vista, have had plans to upgrade, or anything good to say about the newest OS.
After trying the home premium and the business versions, having nothing but problems with each, I can honestly say that this is the closest I've ever come to buying a Mac. If some drastic changes aren't implemented with the new OS, I will be buying a Mac. It's a shame that Microsoft needs this kind of help, and an even bigger shame that IDC would continue to partake in these marketing games. I hope it's worth it for IDC.
