MySpace agrees to give up sex offender data

So the famed MySpace.com is going to eradicate all sex offenders from their site? Well that would be one heck of a hared job. Perhaps they are unaware that the Internet is world wide. Or that anyone can obtain an e-mail address with false information.
Of course, there are those predators lurking on the 'Net who have not yet been convicted of anything, but I guess we won't worry about them. No, it is much easier to attack the ones who are already under the heaviest scrutiny in the world over.
Now, what they did they did, and I don't believe any one of us would ever condone their actions. However, why the hell are we constantly spending money on useless legislation that all of us, with even the meekest of understanding, know is only pomp and flair to appease society and glean votes? Is there not a better way to spend our tax dollars? Like beefing up our police departments, or maybe a bit more towards education?
It takes about two minutes to create a free e-mail address. So in an hour I could have up to 30 e-mails, if not more. Spend a few hours a week at it and we are talking a ton of free, anonymous e-mail addresses. That could turn into a lot of MySpace pages! And I'm just one guy.
I am definitely not the most computer/Internet-savvy person either. So if I can figure it out, I'm sure that someone who just happens to be a sex offender could figure it out as well.
Furthermore, when did parents have to cease responsibility for their child's safety? Why is it people are convinced that all this BS legislation and governmental propaganda is the answer to our children's safety? Wake up!
Unless your congressman or senator, or any of the hundreds of so-called child activists, is going to come to your house and baby-sit your child 24/7, then nothing they do means jack in the grander scheme of life.
Please tell me, what has anything these people have done actually protected any child from the creepy uncle, or the pedophile priest, or the sex-crazed teacher? The list could go on.
When do I get to hear that one of these groups is doing something to actually prevent sex crimes before the fact? There are more pedophiles who have never been convicted then ones who have. One look at any police report on sex crimes and you will see the majority are first-time offenders. So who is doing anything to stop them?
Let's try something new for a change. Shall we? Let's put away out hate and blind rage for a moment and utilize that little rational part of the brain that God gave us and come up with a real solution.
