China's State Council, the country's highest bureaucratic body, has
issued a set of regulations governing China's entertainment
industry that ban the use of pirated products at entertainment
venues.
According to the new rules, which take effect on March 1,
entertainment venues must use legal copies of music, videos and
electronic games, according to the official Xinhua News Agency,
which published a copy of the regulations. Electronic games that
are used for gambling are also prohibited, it said.
