SAINT-SAUVEUR, QUE. - A 30-year career dedicated to
citizen-centred service, and public service delivery has been a
labour of love for Brian Marson.
On Monday at the Lac Carling Congress in Quebec Marson was
rewarded for his massive efforts with the The Heintzman
Leadership Award, given annually by the Institute for
Citizen-Centred Service (ICCS) to the person that the selection
panel believes has demonstrated outstanding leadership within the
public sector in promoting citizen-centred service.
Marson, special advisor, research and analysis with the CIO
Branch of Treasury Board Secretariat, has always understood the
fundamental power of collaboration and has always ensured that
people are brought into the fold, according to presenter Lois Bain,
assistant deputy minister, Strategy and Enterprise Services,
government of Ontario.
"Brian is recognized for his contributions for citizen-centred
services across all levels of government," said Bain. "He is a
visionary, intellectual leader and an enthusiastic motivator."
"I worked with Ralph Heintzman for twelve years and it was an
honour," Marson said. "He brought us together as a community."
"This award is a great honour, and I thank the judges and ICCS
for adding me to a wonderful list of past recipients," he said.
